Selected Biographies

 

Bob Puff

Bob recently concluded a highly-accomplished investment management career, which included over 20 years with Kansas City-based American Century Investments, where he served as President and Chief Investment Officer.  During Bob’s leadership at American Century, the firm had over 1,000 employees and over $100 billion AUM. He received a Bachelors degree from Bucknell University and a Masters degree in Finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Bob also serves on Wincove’s Investment Committee.

Ron Harris

Ron is an accomplished entrepreneur and highly respected businessman.  He was a founder and former CEO and Chairman of the Board of publicly-traded Pervasive Software, previously held senior operating roles at Citrix Systems, and has been involved in many other entrepreneurial ventures over the past three decades. He also served as Chairman of the Board of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas. Ron currently manages Harris Preston & Partners, an Austin-based investment firm. He holds a BS degree from Vanderbilt University and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin.

Charles Preston

Charles is a Partner, with Ron Harris, at Harris Preston & Partners.  Harris Preston makes investments in private equity partnerships through its fund-of-funds business, and also co-invests directly in private equity transactions. Since its founding, Harris Preston has made ~80 direct investments. Prior to starting Harris Preston, Charles was a senior member of the alternative investments team at University of Texas Investment Management Company, one of the largest endowments in the US, where he committed several billion dollars to over 50 different private equity firms. Charles has also practiced law at Vinson & Elkins. He holds a JD from SMU and a BBA from the University of Texas at Austin.

Jon Rosen

Jon is a senior Partner at TDR Capital, a London-based private equity firm with roughly $5 billion in equity commitments under management (most recent fund raised in 2014 is a $3 billion fund). Previously, Jon was a Partner at Hampshire Equity Partners in New York, where he worked closely with the founders of Wincove for many years. He graduated from Duke University, and lives in London.
